The Adjustment, Tensioning And Safety Device Of The Structure Of The Jaw Crusher

The structure of the jaw crusher is actually not very complicated. Each structure performs its own duties and plays a corresponding role in production. Today we introduce three of them, namely, the adjustment device, the tension device, and the safety device.

1. Regulating device

There are wedge-type, cushion-type and hydraulic-type adjustment devices. Generally, a wedge type is adopted, which is composed of two wedges at the front and rear, and the front wedges can move backward to resist the rear push plate. The rear wedge is an adjusting wedge, which can be moved up and down. The inclined surfaces of the two wedges are reversed, and the screw moves the rear wedges up and down to adjust the size of the discharge port. The adjustment of the outlet of the jaw crusher is achieved by adding or reducing the spacer between the rear thrust plate bracket and the frame.

Second, the tensioning device

The tensioning device is composed of a pull rod, a spring and an adjusting nut. One end of the pull rod is hinged on the earring at the bottom of the movable jaw, and the other end passes through the lug on the frame wall and is tightened by a spring and a nut. When the connecting rod drives the movable jaw to swing forward, the movable jaw and the thrust plate will generate a moment of inertia, and when the connecting rod returns, it is the function of the moment of inertia. The movable jaw cannot swing back in time, which may cause the thrust plate to fall off. It is recommended to use a tension mechanism to maintain close contact between the thrust plate, movable jaw and top seat. In the working stroke of the movable jaw, the spring is compressed, and in the unloading stroke, the spring is stretched. The pull rod balances the inertial force when the movable jaw and the thrust plate swing forward with the spring tension, so that the movable jaw swings in the opposite direction in time.

Three, safety device

The safety device of the jaw crusher stops the crusher when the non-fragile block enters the jaw cavity, so as to protect the movable jaw, frame, eccentric shaft and other large and valuable parts from damage. The safety device of the general crusher divides the thrust plate into two sections, which are connected with bolts in the middle, and the strength of the bolts is deliberately weakened in the design. The thrust plate also has holes or is made of cast iron. The smaller cross-sectional size of the thrust plate is designed based on the fact that the crusher will break by itself when it is overloaded. In this way, when the crusher is overloaded, the bolt is immediately cut off, or the thrust plate is broken, and the movable jaw stops swinging. The hydraulic device of the hydraulic jaw crusher also has this safety function.
